  2. conference and is DEFINITELY a ST6 spoiler.  Read at your own risk.

  10.     Howdy, folks.  You've probably heard the ST6 script is out and
  11. about or at least some versions of it.  The following is a major
  12. spoiler which was posted on another net by someone who claims to have
  13. a genuine copy of a script, albeit not the latest.  I take no
  14. responsibility for the reliability of the info (as a matter of fact, I
  15. haven't even read all of it--want to be a >bit< surprised when it
  16. comes out).  Read at your own risk; it seems to be pretty
  17. comprehensive.

  24.         THE (POSSIBLE) CONTENTS OF THE ST6 SCRIPT  ***

  29. OK, here's the stuff:

  31.     Admiral Donald, the Romulan Ambassador and General Chang, aided
  32. and abetted by some Starfleet officers, businessman and some other
  33. assorted Klingons who crew the Bird of Prey that shoots the torpedoes
  34. at the Chancellor's ship.  (The special cloaked Bird of Prey that can
  35. fire while invisible, that is.)
  36.  
  37.      The two members of the Enterprise crew who are shown making nasty
  38. racist comments when the Klingons beam over for dinner are the ones
  39. who actually beam over wearing their gravity boots and assassinate the
  40. Chancellor.  They are however, not the shipboard brains of the
  41. operation.
  42.  
  43.       Saavik is the traitor.
  44.  
  45.     Spock is quite broken up about it.  He sponsored her at the
  46. academy and she was the first Vulcan to graduate at the top of her
  47. class.  I also think that their relationship is a bit more than the
  48. current draft of the script suggests, given some of the stage
  49. directions, i.e., Spock is in as much pain as we will ever see.
  50. That's fairly explicit, no?
  51.  
  52.     Spock mind melds and brain drains her of the names of her
  53. co-conspirators.  She kills the two crewman who assassinated Gorkon
  54. before they can be questioned.
  55.  
  56.     One of Donald's aides disguises himself as a Klingon and shuttles
  57. down to the peace conference with them.  He is given a big nasty
  58. phaser rifle by his compatriots and sets himself up as a sniper to
  59. kill the UFP president.

  65.    Oh, the shapeshifter Martia, who befriends Kirk and Bones, turns
  66. out (no surprise really) to be working for the Klingon Commandant and
  67. tries to kill him on the surface before the Enterprise can arrive to
  68. rescue him or the guards find them and take them back into custody.
  69. She changes into Kirk and the two Kirk's wrestle while the Klingons
  70. look on and, of course, shoot the wrong one.  She dies horribly and
  71. the commandant says, "Well, we couldn't have let her live anyway."
  72.  
  73.     He prepares to kill Kirk and Bones, but before vaporizing them, in
  74. true villain fashion, he spills the beans about the conspiracy.  Just
  75. as he is about to name names, Spock beams Kirk up.  He materializes on
  76. the Enterprise and begins cursing wildly about "why couldn't you wait
  77. two seconds longer, etc...
  78.  
  79.     Sulu risks his career and tells Kirk where the secret meeting is
  80. being held and they both rush off to Khitomer.  The Enterprise crew is
  81. a bit worried about what they'll do when they get there, since the
  82. Bird of Prey can shoot at them all it wants and they can't even see it.
  83.  
  84.     Chang is commanding it and fires volleys of torpedoes at the
  85. Enterprise while they try and figure out what to do.  The Excelsior
  86. and Sulu arrive just as the Enterprise is about to give up the ghost
  87. and Chang turns to fire at the new ship.
  88.  
  89.     Bones and Spock rush off to jurry rig a photon torpedo with a
  90. plasma sensor that will home in on the Bird of Prey's plasma exhaust.
  91. The torpedo is launched and hits the Klingon ship.  Sulu fires at the
  92. explosion and the ship is destroyed.  Landing parties from both ships
  93. beam down to the conference.  This is intercut with the scenes of the
  94. conspirators on the planet and the assassin assembling the rifle and
  95. takes aim.
  96.  
  97.     Of course, they save the president and make the galaxy safe for
  98. small children and puppy dogs.  Kirk of course is the hero having
  99. flung himself upon the president knocking him out of the path of the
  100. phaser rifle's shot, in the knick of time.  Scotty aces the assassin
  101. and he falls from the balcony as his makeup comes off.

  108.      "Time we got underway ourselves, gentleman.
  109.                   (stretches)
  110.       Once again we've saved civilization as we know it."

  112. Given the amount of times different people say To be or not to be.
  113. I suppose the Undiscovered Country reference is from Hamlet.  I'd
  114. have to dig out my folio to check, but...wait here it is...
  115.      Kirk speaking to the Chancellor (the dead ones daughter Azetbur)
  116. Your father quoted Hamlet: he called the future - "the undiscovered
  117. country"...
  118.                       Spock
  119.      "I always assumed Hamlet was speaking of death."
  120.                      Kirk
  121.      "Gorkon thought the undiscovered country might mean something
  122.       else - another kind of life.  People can be very frightened of
  123.       change.  I know I was."
  124.  
  125. Kirk shows some humility by saying to Saavik,'it takes one to know
  126. one' and walks off.  She of course being a Vulcan overcome by
  127. emotion...cries.

  130. It's Lou again.  Please take not that the character of Saavik got a
  131. name change; apparently it is now "Valerius."  I guess "Saavik" was
  132. too confusing.  Jimmy Doohan confirmed at a con that M. Dorn is indeed
  133. playing Colonel Worf.  To end this off, a brief outline of the ST6
  134. story:

  138.   Moon explodes
  139.   Enterprise sent to shephard chancellor's ship to Earth conference
  140.   Chancellor murdered, apparently by someone on the Enterprise and
  141.   torpedoes seemingly fired from the Enterprise to the Kronos.
  142.   Kirk & Bones surrender and try to patch things up
  143.   they are arrested, tried and convicted
  144.   begin life imprisonment
  145.   Martia helps them escape (sort of) :-)
  146.   Enterprise disobeying orders to return to Earth sticks around and
  147.   through Spock's surreptitious placement of a homing device on Kirk
  148.   finds the penal planet and picks up K & B after they escape.
  149.   Conspiracy uncovered
  150.   Enterprise and Excelsior race to secret site of new peace talks
  151.   to prevent assassination of UFP president
  152.   Of course they succeed and zoom off into the sunset.
